Classification of membrane switches

There are many types of membrane switches, which are widely used in daily production and life. This article will introduce several common types of membrane switches.


Flexible membrane switch

Flexible membrane switch is a typical type of membrane switch. The membrane switch is called flexible because the mask layer, isolation layer, and circuit layer of the membrane switch are all made up of flexible membrane of various properties. The circuit layer of flexible membrane switch adopts PET membrane with good electrical performance as the carrier of switch circuit diagram, and this layer is also divided into handfeel shrapnel and upper and lower circuits. Due to the influence of the properties of PET membrane, the membrane switch has good insulation, heat resistance, fracture resistance and high resilience. The graphics of the switch circuit, including the on-line and leading-out of the switch, are printed with conductive coating with low resistance and curing at low temperature. Therefore, the composition of the whole membrane switch has certain flexibility, which is not only suitable for the use on the plane body, but also on the curved surface body. The leading-out of the flexible membrane switch is integrated with the switch body itself. When making the group switch connection, it is gathered in a certain place of the film, and extends outward according to the designated position and standard line spacing. As a flexible and sealed leading-out, it is connected with the rear circuit of the whole machine.


Hard membrane switch

The hard membrane switch refers to the diagram and circuit of the switch which are made on the common printed circuit copper clad laminate.


The characteristics of the hard membrane switch are convenient material, stable technology, low resistance, and it can directly weld some components in the circuit on the back of it. In the case of small area, the hard lining layer can be avoided. Metal guide plate is generally used for the hard membrane switch as the conduction labyrinth contact, so it has better touch feeling. The disadvantage is that it is not convenient to install and connect the soft membrane switch in the whole machine, so it is often necessary to weld and lead out the lead through the flat cable. According to the information feedback, in addition to singing signal and LED indication, it can generally use metal touch shrapnel.


Stereo membrane switch

The keys on the membrane switch, which represent the position, shape and size of the key body in different colors, are common in the initial stage of the membrane switch. Flat membrane switch

The switch key body is slightly convex, slightly higher than the panel, forming a stereo membrane switch, which is called a stereo key switch. The stereo key can not only give the range of the key body accurately, improve the recognition speed, make the operator's touch feeling more sensitive, but also improve the decorative effect of the product appearance.


Convex membrane switch

In general, the keys on the membrane switch represent the position, shape and size of the key body in different colors. In this way, the accuracy of the operation can only be identified by the operator's vision, because there is no appropriate feedback information, which affects the confidence of monitoring the machine and the speed of operation. Therefore, in the design stage of the panel, it is necessary to make arrangements and prepare cope holes so as to have accurate positioning when the mold is pressed. The height of the stereo protrusion is generally not more than twice the thickness of the base material.
