Custom Film Switch Advantages

(1) Durability

The service life of the customized film switch can reach more than one million times. The reason for such a long service life is that the action of the switch is realized by the vertical movement of the elastic film. Although the elastic film has undergone millions of times of creep, but because the creep amplitude is very small, only 0.1 ~ 0.3mm (both the switching stroke), and the rationality of material selection, it is far from reaching the yield limit of the film. Therefore, the film material can withstand more than one million times of life without deformation.


On the other hand, the contacts of custom membrane switches are vertical and have minimal wear. While the screen-printed contacts can form a sufficient thickness, and a layer of conductive carbon is printed on the silver paste contacts to achieve high wear resistance and self-lubrication. Therefore, the life of the membrane switch is more than dozens of times longer than the mechanical contact switch.


(2) Good sealing performance

The contacts of the switch are not attacked by harmful gases and are not easy to be oxidized, because the custom membrane switch is an integrally sealed structure. It is also waterproof and dustproof, making it more suitable for use in a variety of harsh environments.


(3) Small volume, light weight and reliable structure

The customized membrane switch can be arranged and combined into a membrane keyboard in the design. Its setting density is large, and it is a sealed sheet structure composed of multi-layer membrane. The connecting lines and outgoing lines between all switches are completed by screen printing at one time, with a total thickness of 1-3mm, which reduces the volume, and quality and improves the reliability.
