Differences Among Membrane Panel, Membrane Switch and Drum Membrane Panel

Many names of products in every industry are misunderstood, or there is no special title. At most, there is one name, which is accepted by most people. 1. Meaning of the membrane switch

Membrane switch is an operating system integrating key function, indicating element and instrument panel. It is composed of panel, upper circuit, isolation layer and lower circuit. Press the membrane switch, the contact of the upper circuit deforms downward and contacts with the polar plate of the lower circuit. After the finger is released, the contact of the upper circuit bounces back, the circuit is disconnected, and the circuit triggers a signal.

2. Meaning of the membrane panel

Thin membrane panel is a plastic product for identification and protection, which is made of established graphics and text instructions printed on flexible plastic materials such as PVC, PC and PET, and is equipped with double-sided adhesive tapes of different materials.

3. Connections and differences of the membrane panel, membrane switch and drum membrane panel

(1) First of all, in terms of use, this is a panel. Due to the manufacturing process, the patterns are generally printed by pet, PVC, PC and even acrylic through silk screen printing technology. If the panel has modeling requirements or window requirements, die cutting is also required to match the panel modeling.

(2) On the basis of the panel, if the guest's product already has design keys on the PCB board, it needs the cooperation of the membrane panel. At this time, the film panel needs to increase the bulge. The design of the drum package needs to match the height of the product key, so that the touch of the key is not stiff when pressed. This kind of panel can be called drum type membrane panel.

(3) Further, if the customer's product only provides one interface, there is no switching function. The drum type membrane panel needs to add flexible lines, and different types of keys are used as membrane switch contacts. At present, pot pieces are more used. Pot pieces are oval, triangular, cross shaped and circular. This shape depends on the shape requirements of the product and matches the drum setting of the panel. The material and surface processing of the pot piece depend on the user's hand feeling, the number of keys and the service life.
