The Role of Pet Membrane in the Key Membrane Switch

1. What's the key membrane switch?

The key membrane switch, also known as the soft-touch keyboard, adopts the overall sealing structure combined by plane and multiple layers. It is a new type of electronic component in which the key switch, panel, mark, symbol display and liner are sealed together with the integration of the light, machine, and electricity. It is a fundamental change in the appearance and structure of electronic products. It can replace the buttons of conventional discrete components and perform the tasks of operating system more reliably.

2. What is the structure of the key membrane switch?

The panel is the "coat" of the whole key membrane switch, and its main function is to act as a marker and button. The upper and lower circuits are the electrical component of the key membrane switch, which is also the "off" and "key" of the switch. But its performance directly affects the performance of the switch device. It is formed by printing a layer of conductive material on the membrane. The upper and lower circuits are responsible for the two electric shock characteristics required for switch closure. The thickness is generally between 0.05 and 0.175MM, and the most common one is 0.125MM PET.

3. What are the advantages of the key membrane switch?

1) The electronic component with both the switching function and decorative function is a new type of man-machine dialogue interface. The connection between the switch circuit and the whole machine can be completed by welding or plugging.

2) The key membrane switch panel, as the main type of the key membrane switch, is made by using the rigid or flexible printed circuit board as the matrix, which is mounted with keys which boast hand feelings or not and then covered with the plastic (polycarbonate PC, polyester PET, etc.) membrane panel on which colored decorative patterns are printed.

3) The key membrane switch boasts advantages of good waterproof, dust-proof, and oil-proof performance, resistance to harmful gas erosion, stable and reliable performance, light weight, small volume, long life, convenient assembly, having a panel which can be washed and characters are not damaged, rich color, beautiful and good-looking appearance. Use key membrane switch to make your products more modern.
