What Are the Characteristics of the Hierarchical Structure of the Illuminated Membrane Switch?

The illuminated membrane switch is an operating system that integrates key functions, indicator elements, and instrument panels. It consists of four parts  including panel, upper circuit, isolation layer and lower circuit. In order to make a light-touch normally open switch, the upper and lower contacts of the membrane switch are in an off state under normal circumstances.

The illuminated membrane switch, also known as the light touch keyboard, adopts a flat multi-layer combination of an integral sealing structure. It is a light, mechanical, and electrical integration that seals the key switch, panel, mark, symbol display and lining board together. This new type of electronic components is a fundamental change in the appearance and structure of electronic products. It can replace the buttons of conventional discrete components and perform the tasks of the operating system more reliably. Let us understand the four highlights of membrane switches:

Ⅰ. Durability of illuminated membrane switch

Compared with ordinary switches, the service life of membrane switches is generally longer. Due to the small amplitude and reasonable material selection, the membrane can withstand enough times of use. Moreover, the contacts of the switch are realized by vertical contact, which can effectively reduce the degree of wear and make the service life long.

Ⅱ. The illuminated membrane switch has better sealing performance

Since the illuminated membrane switch adopts an integral sealing method in its structure, the internal contacts are not easily oxidized. It is also effectively waterproof and dustproof, so it is more suitable for various environments.

Ⅲ. Reliable structure of illuminated membrane switch

The design is arranged as a membrane keyboard, which makes it have a very small volume, a lighter weight and a reliable structure.

Ⅳ. Beautiful appearance of illuminated membrane switch

The illuminated membrane switch can also have the pattern or color we want to design on the pattern, which also has a relatively good decorative effect.
